Lekker Lines is an independent jewellery and design studio in Amsterdam, bringing together the things I enjoy making most: jewellery, illustration and small objects for everyday life.
Jewellery
Jewellery is at the heart of Lekker Lines. Each piece is designed and made by hand in Amsterdam, with a focus on colour, texture and unexpected shapes.
The rings are woven bead by bead using tiny glass beads, building geometric patterns and sculptural forms from a simple material. Some designs are bold and unusual, others are made for everyday wear, but everything is produced slowly and in small quantities.
Artwork
My illustrations are inspired by the things I notice around me: Amsterdam streets and houses, Dutch words and everyday moments, dogs, drinks and the occasional slightly odd detail.
They become postcards, prints, stickers and other paper goods, drawn with a simple, playful style and a particular affection for Amsterdam life.
Approach
Lekker Lines is deliberately small. I design and make the pieces myself, experimenting with materials, colours and forms rather than producing large collections.
That means things can evolve. A ring might start with an unusual combination of beads, an illustration with something spotted on a walk through Amsterdam, and a new object simply with the question: what else could I make with this?
Everything is designed in Amsterdam and made with care, in small batches or to order.
